Our Internationalization Policy

  1. Internationalization policies have a very important place in achieving a competitive, innovative and productive structure for all universities in the world and in the country. Established in 2008, our university has largely completed its physical infrastructure and is taking important steps towards internationalization with its young and dynamic academic staff and the missions it has undertaken. Hakkari University Foreign Relations Office, which successfully carries out Erasmus+ and Mevlana exchange programs, has made some wide changes in its internationalization policies. As can be seen in the 2021 Strategy Document, Hakkari University has made many collaborations not only with the European Union Program countries, but also with the Partner Countries outside the EU, and aims to carry these collaborations forward in 2021. In this context, one of the most important parts of our new policy vision is the long and short-term exchange of students and faculty members, producing joint projects, organizing conferences and seminars with North Africa and Arab Countries, where we have strong historical ties, and Central Asian Countries, which are the center of our unity of origin.
  2. One of the prominent policy changes in the Hakkari University 2021 Strategy Document is the studies for nearby geographies. Our aim is to strengthen our academic relations with the universities of the Middle East countries, and to make Hakkari University an attraction point for the students of these countries for undergraduate, graduate and exchange programs.
  3. Erasmus+ is the most important part of our Quality Policy. Our priorities will be to increase our exchange students within the framework of Erasmus+, to diversify joint projects, and to host academics from Europe's distinguished universities, to share their knowledge and experience with our academics and students. By sharing the effective promotional materials we have prepared in this context with our academicians, our staff who go to receive and give education within the framework of Erasmus+ will be able to promote Hakkari University more effectively in Europe.
