Equivalency, Residence Permit and Health Insurance

Candidates who are admitted to Hakkari University under the international student admission scheme are required to follow the procedures related to diploma equivalency, residence permits, and health insurance in accordance with the applicable legislation of the Republic of Türkiye.
 

It is the responsibility of each student to complete these procedures accurately and within the required timeframes.
 

Equivalency Certificate

Candidates who are granted the right to complete final registration must submit an Equivalency Certificate confirming that their high school diploma is equivalent to a diploma awarded by Turkish high schools.

The Equivalency Certificate may be obtained through the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Türkiye, Turkish Education Attaché Offices, or Turkish Embassies / Education Counsellor's Offices in the candidate's country of residence.

Candidates are strongly advised to initiate the equivalency procedures well in advance, taking the registration calendar into consideration.
 

Residence Permit

International students who will pursue their studies in Türkiye are required to complete residence permit procedures in accordance with the applicable legislation.
 

After entering Türkiye, students are responsible for submitting their residence permit applications within the deadlines and procedures determined by the relevant authorities.
 

Students should regularly follow official announcements regarding residence permit applications, required documents, and application procedures issued by the competent authorities.
 

General Health Insurance

Procedures related to General Health Insurance (GHI) for international students are carried out in accordance with the relevant legislation of the Republic of Türkiye.
 

Students are advised to complete their health insurance procedures in a timely manner to ensure uninterrupted access to healthcare services and to avoid potential difficulties during their studies.

• Procedures related to the Equivalency Certificate, residence permit, General Health Insurance, passport, and visa are the sole responsibility of the student.
