APPLICATION AND ADMISSION
- Who can apply as an international student to Hakkari University?
International applicants who meet the eligibility criteria announced by Hakkari University may apply. Applicants must either be in their final year of secondary education or have already graduated from high school.
- When does the application period begin?
Application dates are announced annually on the University's official website. Applicants are advised to regularly check the website for the latest application calendar.
- How can I apply?
Applications are submitted through the online application system announced by the University. Applications submitted in person, by post, courier, or e-mail will not be considered.
- Is TR-YÖS mandatory?
Applicants may apply using TR-YÖS scores and/or other examinations, diplomas, or qualifications accepted by the University. Accepted examinations and diploma criteria are specified in the admission announcement.
- Can I apply with only my high school diploma?
This depends on the admission requirements and evaluation criteria announced for the relevant application period. Applicants should carefully review the current admission announcement.
- How many programs can I apply for?
Applicants may apply to a maximum of five programs. Placement decisions are based on applicants' preferences, evaluation scores, available quotas, and other admission criteria.
- Does submitting an application guarantee admission?
No. Submitting an application does not guarantee admission. Applications are evaluated by the International Student Commission in accordance with the announced quotas and evaluation criteria.
APPLICATION DOCUMENTS
- What documents are required for application?
Generally, applicants are required to submit a high school diploma or graduation certificate, transcript, examination results (if applicable), passport or official identity document, photograph, and any additional documents specified in the admission announcement. Please refer to the Application Documents page for the most up-to-date information.
- I have not yet received my high school diploma. Can I still apply?
Yes. Applicants who have not yet received their diploma may apply with an official document issued by their school confirming their expected graduation date.
TUITION FEES AND SCHOLARSHIPS
- What are the tuition fees?
Tuition fees for international students are determined annually by the University Board in accordance with the relevant legislation and Presidential Decrees. Updated tuition fees are announced on the University's website.
- Is there an application fee?
An application fee is planned for international student applications. The amount, payment method, and bank account details will be announced following the decision of the University Board.
- Is the application fee refundable?
The application fee is non-refundable for applicants who are not placed, whose applications are deemed invalid, who fail to complete registration, or who submit incomplete or inaccurate documents. For students who complete final registration, the application fee will be deducted from the tuition fee.
- Are scholarships available?
Applicants may follow scholarship opportunities offered by Türkiye Scholarships and other institutions or organizations. Scholarship applications are managed independently by the relevant institutions according to their own requirements and application schedules.
PLACEMENT, REGISTRATION AND ACCEPTANCE LETTER
- Where are placement results announced?
Placement results are announced on the University's website on the dates specified in the application and registration calendar. It is the applicant's responsibility to follow these announcements.
- How many placement rounds will be conducted?
Applications are collected under a single admission announcement, and placement procedures are carried out through four separate placement rounds. Vacant quotas resulting from applicants who fail to complete online registration may be reassigned in subsequent rounds.
- What should I do after receiving my Acceptance Letter?
Applicants who receive an Acceptance Letter should carefully review the registration calendar and the required registration documents. The Acceptance Letter may be used for visa applications and other official procedures but does not constitute final registration.
- Does the Acceptance Letter mean that I am fully registered?
No. The Acceptance Letter is an official document confirming placement in a program. Final registration is completed only after all required documents have been submitted, tuition fees have been paid, and registration requirements have been fulfilled.
- Does online registration mean that my final registration is complete?
No. Completing online registration does not mean that final registration has been completed. Applicants must still submit the required documents and meet all registration requirements.
VISA, EQUIVALENCY, RESIDENCE PERMIT AND HEALTH INSURANCE
- How can I obtain a Student Visa?
Applicants who require a Student Visa should apply to the nearest Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Türkiye in their country using their Acceptance Letter. Visa procedures are the responsibility of the applicant.
- Do I need a Residence Permit?
International students studying in Türkiye are generally required to obtain a Residence Permit. Students should complete the necessary procedures after arriving in Türkiye in accordance with the applicable regulations.
- Is an Equivalency Certificate required?
Yes. Applicants admitted to the University must submit an Equivalency Certificate confirming that their high school diploma is equivalent to a diploma issued by Turkish high schools.
